Zevran: I'm sorry, are you speaking to me?
Wynne: That is why you wish to leave your Crows. A crisis of conscience.
Zevran: Yes that is exactly it.
Wynne: Joke if you wish, but I have the feeling that deep down you regret the life you have lived
Zevran: It's true, I regret it all.
Wynne: Ugh! Must you be such a child? Are you incapable of a single, serious conversation?
Zevran: I know. I am terrible and it makes me sad. May I rest my head in you bosom? I wish to cry.
Wynne: You can cry well away from my bosom. I'm certain.
Zevran: Did I tell you I was and orphan? I never knew my mother.
Wynne: Egad I give up.
Wynne: Have you changed you mind yet? Are you willing to speak seriously?
Zevran: Of you bosom? As you wish.
Wynne: No, I do not wish to speak of my bosom.
Zevran: But it is a marvelous bosom. I have seen women have your age who have not held up half so well. Perhaps it is a magical bosom.
Wynne: Stop talkin

Chapter 7 “Editing” – Section 1 “The Chapter”
“Many first-time novelists end up rewriting their first two or three chapters, trying to get them 'just right.' But the point of the first draft is not to get it right; it's to get it written - so that you'll have something to work with.”
Recently, we've been working on all of the plot-points contained within a story and what function they serve to the overall plot. And if you've been following along with the “Write-A-Novel” exercises, and written a chapter for every plot-point, you now have a completed first draft of your novel. Now, it is time to work on editing and redrafting
$5 is hardly anything for a commission, heres whyEdit: Okay, wow--If I knew this journal would get the attention that it's getting I would have tried to make it sound a bit more professional and a bit less ranty
im almost a little embarrassed
I'm also really glad that so many of you could share your input and experiences. It's really important that we understand this--especially on a site with so many young, impressionable artists. It's easy for us to think that our time is only worth the end product. When i first joined this site (i was 13), the first type of commission that I took was a full picture for only 5 points. Granted--it didn't look the best. i was only 13 after all, but at the time I didn't even know the value of points. When i was about 14-15 I started looking to get more serious about my art. I wanted to make actual money off of it, so I started considering prices and i never charged anything more than $20. I was still really torn because a few people were still telling me that I was underchar
Diamond Contest! Win 650 pts and a free pic!Edit: Yo, because of the price increase dA made to the PMs I have to change the grand prize. Also deadline has been extended.
Alright yall, I'm gonna go ahead and announce the next contest I had in mind cause people are driving me insane with all these "Diamond is a mary sue" comments and I just think she needs her own little thing so she can be appreciated and such... So let's show Diamond a little love with this contest and let's drown out the haters!
So I think I'm gonna change it up this time and come up with a theme. Here's what you have to do...
Draw or write a pic/fic of Diamond in a specific situation!
This means you just can't draw her standing there looking pretty (even though she's really good at that). There must a story behind the pic. You can accomplish this by writing a fic (obviously), drawing a comic, just adding speech bubbles to the pic, or you could simply summarize or write a little script in the description.
You can do any story you l
Happy Valentines DayMy love; today is our day to love because we fight everyday to live for each other and I know it is difficult but we succeed every time we can speak. Sai there is not enough words in the English language I can use to

You May Say I'm An Artist...
I am haunted in this holiday season by the opening lines of Charles Dickens’s A Tale of Two Cities, his novel about a society 250 years ago coming apart in its seemingly irreconcilable divisions. Could it be these lines define where we have come to find ourselves today?
“It was the best of times,
it was the worst of times,
in the age of wisdom,
it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief,
it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of Light,
it was the season of Darkness,
it was the spring of hope,

I'm anti woman, because I don't support abortion,
because I'm a girl who holds poster,
depicting bodies of babies, distorted.
I hate my own sex, because I dress pretty for men,
and because I don't call it “rape”
when I get cat called by them.
I'm anti-woman, because I think that women can be rapist.
It needs to be brought to light,
but instead the media likes to portray men as rapist.
Apparently I’m sexist because I'd rather listen
to a group of men express their
sorrows and depressions.
Because I think we women have all the resources we need,
for abuse, for abortion,
and for everything in between .
I'd rather sit and listen to the testaments of lost fathers,
who have suffered depression,
because abortion for men can cause a lot more problems.
